Permitting and Compliance Services 

CES provides an innovative approach to identifying and managing stormwater-related issues. Specifically, our team of hydrologists, engineers, biologists, and geologists seek resource-based solutions to assist with regulatory and permitting requirements. The following summarizes some of the specialized stormwater management services provided by CES.

Stormwater Services

As part of the NPDES permitting process for regulated industrial activity, development of a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) is typically required. CES has prepared numerous SWPPPs for various industrial and agricultural properties, municipalities, mining operations, and transportation projects.

Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures Plans (SPCC)

The Clean Water Action requires facilities with storage of any types of oil to have an SPCC plan to prevent the discharge of oil into navigable waters or shorelines. CES offers cost-effective and timely preparation of SPCC plans for our clients.

NPDES Permitting and TMDL Compliance

CES has the expertise to provide cost effective options to comply with National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirements. We assist clients by solving effluent permit requirements, providing studies that may be required under existinwg permits and negotiating new permit conditions. Many states are now requiring TMDLs to be developed for water quality impaired stream segments. CES has the expertise to provide cost effective options to comply with these TMDL requirements. CES’ knowledge of Land Application and other treatment systems can provide answers to nutrient, temperature, chlorine, and other pollutants that are restricted.

Seepage Tests

Many states require a seepage test of wastewater lagoons. CES is specifically qualified to help you meet this requirement and many of your other wastewater management needs. CES has conducted many lagoon seepage tests that have been accepted by state agencies. CES has over 30 years of wastewater management experience and a unique blend of expertise on staff that includes soil scientists, hydrologists, geologists, and engineers.
